"A classic Felton Road nose of dark florals, rose and maybe violet, with cherry compote. Textural and rich on the first attack, with a fine line of berry leaves, raspberry or boysenberry, but right through the palate there is a clear sense of tension that prevents this from ever being fruit driven. The wine has a lovely persistence with fine and dusty tannins, leaving a line of pure fruit and petals, as it eventually fades. A classic Felton Road Bannockburn."

"A delicious wine with purity of fruit, the signature of site and vintage are clear with a bouquet of freshness, power and varietal prowess. Dark cherry and savoury dried herbs, hat and sandy clay soil complexities, violet and wild forest flowers the spice. Dry, complex and textured with a gentle tautness with an abundance of polished tannins and backbone of acidity. Flavours of dried raspberry, dark berries, plum and dark cherry are released throughout the palate and as the wine opens out in glass delivers energy, purity and freshness. Delicious and lengthy with best drinking from late 2026 through 2035+."

"The 2023 Bannockburn Pinot Noir is vibrant and spicy, with real energy and pace on the palate. Cherry, cranberry, pomegranate and raspberry converge on a springy base of pliable tannin. The acidity, which is bright, is woven through all aspects of the fruit, and the wine feels exciting and fresh as a result. This is a great wine here. It has full flavour and resolved texture at a moderate alcohol level."
