Winery notes (2025 Vintage)
"Inviting and attractive aromatics provide immediate focus of what is about to come: a wave of classic florals underpinned with cherry and raspberry. A burst of rich fruit leads the palate to a mouthfeel that is opulent and seductive. The vibrant finish is complimented with a fine dust of tannin lining the fruit and spice characters. A typical Cornish Point and immensely satisfying wine to aptly celebrate the vineyard’s 25th year!"

Rated Outstanding & 97/100 Cameron Douglas MS, August 2026 (2025 Vintage)
"A fascinating wine with a bouquet of site then style, quite youthful and ‘locked up’ still, yet as the wine opens out and warms a little in the glass the scents of blackcurrant and dried raspberry, some boysenberry then dried herbs begin to release. A dry, taut wine on the palate with a frame of chalky ripe tannins and backbone of acidity then reddish fruit flavours that become louder and more energetic as the wine opens-up. Complex and persistent, a wine that requires cellar time to ensure all the players have a voice. Best drinking from 2032 through 2042+."

98/100 & #2 Top 100 New Zealand Wines of 2025, JamesSuckling.com (2024 Vintage)
"This is so perfumed, with violet, fresh strawberry and black cherry aromas. It’s medium-bodied with ultra-fine tannins and a persistent and caressing finish. From organically grown grapes."

94/100 Gary Walsh, The Wine Front, November 2025 (2024 Vintage)
"Spiced plum, quite exotic in a way, a sort of beetroot earthiness, mocha and nori. It’s a fleshy wine, quite umami and savoury, salted plum and orange peel, a juicy cut of acidity, a grainy chamois-like grip to tannin, with a nutty and savoury finish of good length. An interesting and somewhat idiosyncratic take on Pinot Noir, but very good all the same."

Felton Road Wines epitomises the harmony of organic and biodynamic viticulture with a commitment to quality and sustainability. The Felton Road Pinot Noir Bannockburn showcases their dedication to crafting exceptional wines. This vintage reveals a nose of dark roses and violets, offering a transparent and ethereal character. On the palate, it presents savoury notes with lovely fruits and no hint of New World sweetness. The tannins are firm but not harsh, complemented by subtle herbal tones that add freshness and intrigue. It’s a classic expression from their four Bannockburn vineyards.

Similarly, Felton Road's Chardonnay Bannockburn stands out with its pure grapefruit zest, citrus, and stonefruit kernel. The palate balances acid effortlessly, with a clean profile and a pleasing absence of oak, making it a benchmark Chardonnay.

Felton Road's Riesling Bannockburn impresses with brooding aromas of wet stones and stonefruits. It opens with a burst of sweetness tempered by intense stonefruit flavours and crisp acidity, reflecting the uniqueness of their Bannockburn terroir.

Felton Road’s meticulous approach begins with site selection and organic practices. Their four vineyards in Bannockburn, managed with precision and hand care, contribute to wines that express their terroir authentically. The gravity-flow winery and non-interventionalist winemaking methods preserve the true character of each varietal, making their wines both approachable and age-worthy.
