Founded in 2002 by Richard Klein, Artigiano Imports is dedicated to bringing artisan Italian food and wines to the New Zealand market at really affordable prices. Richard takes a very hands-on approach to knowing where the products come from while getting to know and working alongside the people who grow and transform them. He makes sure that respect for the culture and place of origin are not lost in transit or translation.
Tonight Richard will take us through a hand picked selection to give a snapshot of Italian wine and the culture that goes with it.

Martin Cahnbley turned his passion for wine into a job and he created Planet Wine Imports - the clue is in the name as Martin imports wines from all around the world, but his specialty is wine from South Africa and he has built up a formidable portfolio of producers from there. Usually Martin spends much of his time travelling the world sourcing these wines directly from the producers and he has long time associations with the wineries he represents. It is this personal touch which adds to the authenticity. Martin will be showing a diverse range of wines from innovative and progressive producers accompanied by the stories they represent.
