Having celebrated 110 years on the land and 40+ years of winemaking, no mention of Central Otago wine can be made without reference to Rippon and the Mills family. From the exploratory visions of Lois and Rolf Mills in the 1970s and now nearly 50 years later still family run by the Mills family. Winemaker son Nick returned from studying in Burgundy in 2002 and introduced biodynamic farming, wild ferments and with no irrigation and some of Central Otago’s oldest vines on their own roots all help to produce fruit and wines which are true to their place. Any discussion on New Zealand’s greatest wineries will always include Rippon.

Tonight Nick Mills will bring his passion and knowledge to present wines across the range including some special and Cellar wines.
