Winery notes (2025 Vintage)
"Brilliant crimson with a vibrant purple hue, the Estate Syrah ’25 is bright, perfumed and immediately inviting. Raspberry coulis, boysenberry and warm blackberry syrup are layered with violets, pink peppercorn, cinnamon and hints of char. Soft, dense and medium bodied, the palate combines ripe red and dark fruits with creamy, dark chocolate-like tannins and balanced acidity that brings energy, focus and texture. Instantly approachable and immensely satisfying, Estate Syrah ’25 flows to a long finish with lingering spice, vanilla and berry richness.
The individual parcels of Syrah from each plot were destemmed for fermentation and remained on skins for extended maceration before pressing. The wine was then run off to a mixture of new and seasoned French oak barrels for 12 months’ maturation, during which time it was regularly topped and racked. The wine received traditional egg white fining before bottling."

5 Stars & 94/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, August 2025 (2024 Vintage)
"Wonderfully fruited with perfumed aromas, showing blackberry, sweet cherry, olive, clove, and hazelnut notes on the nose. It's succulent and plump in the mouth, offering silky flow backed by finely infused tannins, finishing splendidly long and sturdy. At its best: now to 2034."
91/100 Gary Walsh, The Wine Front, July 2025 (2024 Vintage)
"Blue fruit, toasted nuts, a fair bit of aromatic black pepper, biscuit spices, some liquorice. It’s medium-bodied, blue and black fruits, a light grainy grip with a gently sappy feel, a slight ripe tomato and black olive savoury element, quite spicy to close, with bright acidity and some dried herb and chicory bitterness on a finish of good length. Nice wine. Has a fair bit of energy and certainly falls into the spicy Syrah style."
