Rapaura Springs operates four vineyards: The Springs Vineyard on their home property, Bull Paddock Vineyard at Dillons Point, Blind River Vineyard South of Awatere, and Riverside Estate Vineyard on the banks of the Opawa River in Lower Wairau.
The vineyards grow Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Verdelho, and Chardonnay grapes.
Rapaura Springs is owned and operated in Marlborough by two families, the Wiffins and the Neylons. The Neylons were pioneers in the commercial production of green lipped mussels before partnering with the Wiffins in establishing vineyards.
Rapaura Springs was very proud to have achieved their goal of making Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines list in 2021. Their Classic Sauvignon Blanc made it to number 41 out of 100, from a pool of over 12,500 entrants!
In 2018 Rapaura Springs purchased the Blind River Vineyard to develop Chardonnay and Pinot Noir offerings.
Rapaura Springs is committed to sustainability, investing in advanced irrigation infrastructure and water purification systems. Grape marc composting, cover crops and livestock grazing also support sustainability efforts.
