Gold Medal – New Zealand International Wine Show 2024
Mount Brown wines offer some of the best priced wines around and the fact that they are really good, delicious and local adds to the appeal. From the foothills of Mount Brown in the Waipara Valley comes this delicious Rosé made from Tempranillo, Syrah and Pinot Noir grapes. A vividly scented nose leads you to beautifully balanced palate of delicate mixed berries with subtle citrus giving depth and zip.
Winery notes (2024 Vintage)
"A delightful Rosé with strawberries and cream aromas, a touch of sweetness followed by a long crisp finish. Made with the saignee process from Tempranillo, Syrah and Pinot it underwent a cool ferment after 24 hours on skins, resulting in a fruit forward wine with beautiful colour. We love it with summer salads, light pasta dishes or seafood. But often a Rosé is just perfect on its own on a warm summers evening."
92+/100 Cameron Douglas MS, September 2024 (2023 Vintage)
"Pink hues with a very polished appearance lead to a bouquet of fresh raspberry and cherry, there's white rose scents and a fine mineral gravel complexity. Satin smooth touch on the palate with flavours of red berries and rose turkish delight, a light tropical fruit punch quality and floral tones. Dry, plush, fleshy and tasty, a wine ready to drink from late 20224 through the end of summer 2026."
