El Goru – The Mad Hairy Fella – that's the cheeky name you'll find on the back label, and it perfectly sums up this bold, personality-packed red. From the sun-soaked vineyards of Jumilla in Spain, El Goru perfectly blends monastrell, syrah and a touch of petit verdot into a wine that's as distinctive as it is delicious.
Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"Deep-red coloured wine with purple edges, with an extremely intense aroma of red and ripe fruit, pleasantly creamy, accompanied by touches of toasty oak. It is fruity and flavourful in the mouth, meaty and gamey with smoked charcuterie notes and soft, ripe tannins. Vanilla and cinnamon accent the finish.
The harvest is done by hand at the optimum ripening time. Each grape variety was separately fermented and macerated with their own peels during 15/20 days at a controlled temperature no higher than 28ºC. Ageing: 4 months in American oak barrels."
