Winery notes (2024 Vintage)
"This example is an elegant, floral wine, with plum, spice & berry flavours supported by strong oak & fine tannins. The wine was fermented in open top vats with regular hand plunging. After completion of the ferment the wine was given extended maceration on skins of up to four weeks to extract all the complex flavours & ripe tannins. After pressing the wine was matured in oak barriques prior to bottling. Predominantly Cabernet Franc with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend (from Gimblett Road)."
Rated Outstanding & 95/100 Cameron Douglas MS, May 2026 (2024 Vintage)
"An excellent bouquet of fresh red berries and dried herbs, there’s a savoury quality, lots of olive and brine then blackberry and bitter chocolate, violets and barrel spice layers. Complex, youthful and new. A dry, fuller-bodied expression with a power texture and core flavours of dark berries, some plum, lots of spice and earthy voices from stone to sand, sea spray to violet. Ripe, lengthy, fruity, detailed and varietal. A lovely example for drinking alongside food or in your cellar for a while. Best drinking from 2029 through 2035+."
