"Our second vintage of Viognier, grown biodynamically at Skypunch vineyard on the hill beside Home Vineyard. Aromas of rock melon, citrus blossom, honey and nutmeg. The pallet is firm, rich and fresh with flavours of peach, vanilla pod, marmalade and liquorice. Only 39 cases made in 2024 so available only here and in our cellar door. Un-fined and unfiltered."

"First vintage, 15 months on lees and then time in bottle before release. Low yield per vine, made it like Chardonnay. Just two barrels. Next year hope for enough to use puncheons. This is a beautiful expression of Viognier with pear and peach fruit, a touch of apricot, and some focus on the palate. It has flavour but it’s not fat. Beautiful example of Viognier."

Note, for orders of 1 - 2 bottles we charge an additional $6 for packaging. To ensure the safety of the bottles we use specially designed posting boxes.

Black Estate is a family-owned winery located in the North Canterbury region of New Zealand, known for producing some of the country's finest cool-climate wines. Excellent wine store! Probably the best in town. You can find wall kinds of wine and from around the world. I even found a wine from my hometown Uruguay which is not easy to find at all on this side of the globe.
