Black Estate

Black Estate is a family-owned winery located in the North Canterbury region of New Zealand, known for producing some of the country's finest cool-climate wines. Founded by the Naish family, the winery is situated in the Waipara Valley, a region renowned for its limestone-rich soils and ideal growing conditions for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and other varietals.

At Black Estate, the focus is on creating wines that reflect the unique terroir of their vineyards, with minimal intervention in the winemaking process. The winery is certified organic and biodynamic, with a commitment to sustainable farming practices and preserving the health of the land for future generations.

Black Estate produces a range of wines, including single-vineyard and blended varietals, each with its own distinct character and flavour profile. The Pinot Noir is a standout, with a delicate balance of fruit and spice, while the Chardonnay showcases the region's minerality and bright acidity. Other notable wines include the Chenin Blanc, Riesling, and Syrah, each displaying the signature elegance and complexity of Black Estate's winemaking style.

Visitors to Black Estate can enjoy tastings at the winery's cellar door, set against a stunning backdrop of rolling hills and vineyards. The winery also has a restaurant where guests can savour farm-to-table cuisine paired with Black Estate's acclaimed wines.

Black Estate is a must-visit destination for wine lovers and foodies alike, offering a unique and unforgettable experience in the heart of New Zealand's Waipara wine country.
