Winery notes (2018 Vintage)
"Amisfield Blocks 1 and 10. Vines grown in the stony Lochar gravel overlaid by sandy loam. The riesling grapes were gently pressed and the crisp refreshing juice was allowed to settle on lees for 48 hours. The juice was fermented cool using selected Alsacian yeast and a pied de cuve was used to naturally ferment a portion of the blend. The wine was matured on light fluffy lees for 5 months before bottling.
Pretty aromatics of jasmine and lime sorbet leading to a palate with mandarin, florals and a brilliant rush of lively acidity."

95/100 Cameron Douglas MS, December 2018 (2017 Vintage)
"Generous, attractive and alluring bouquet with aromas and flavours of mandarin and lime-flower, pear and sweet red apple. A core of minerality underpins the flavours accentuated by plentiful acidity then emerging flavours of lemon peel and green apple. Youthful, vibrant lengthy and complex. A lovely wine to admire in the cellar then enjoy drinking from 2020 through 2030."
4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper (2017 Vintage)
"Estate-grown at Pisa, in the Cromwell Basin, the 2017 vintage was hand-picked and fermented with cultured and indigenous yeasts. Bright, light lemon/green, it is scented and lively, in a medium-dry style (10 grams/litre of residual sugar), 10 per cent barrel-fermented, with good intensity of lemony, appley flavours, crisp, harmonious and lingering. Well worth cellaring, it should break into full stride 2020+."
94/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review, January 2019 (2017 Vintage)
"Delicately aromatic riesling with lime, citrus, mandarin and white flower (rose?) flavours. Beautifully pure wine with a hint of oyster shell and mineral character. Quite a textural wine – dry, but not austere with a backbone of fruity acidity."
