"This fruit driven Riesling has lemon and lime aromas with a luscious finish. The palate is rich in both texture and concentration with good balance, acidity and fruit flavour.

The lemon and lime flavours mean the wine will compliment pan-fried white fish and the good levels of acidity would offset the oiliness of richer seafoods. The medium sweetness (25g RS) would make it perfect for a summer pudding, such as Eton mess. But it’s light enough to make a delicious summer aperitif."

"Bright, fresh and youthful with a bouquet of sweet red apple and white pears, there are scents of white flowers and sweet blossoms ten candy. An off-dry expression with a lush and creamy mouthfeel, flavours of apples and pears then citrus and homemade lemonade. Plenty of acidity for freshness and mouthfeel and to contrast the sweetness. Well made with best drinking from day of purchase through 2030."

Mount Brown Estates is located in the foothills of Waipara Valley's Mount Brown, in the North Canterbury wine region.

From truly humble beginnings (a small abandoned vineyard overgrown with waist-high weeds), Tony Rutherford and his daughter Catherine Keith have since turned their once-daunting vision into reality, now boasting three award-winning vineyards and a winery.

Mount Brown Estates keeps their whole process—from grape to bottle—in-house, to be able to ensure desired quality standards. This was made possible when they built their winery and bottling line on the Lime Loader vineyard in 2013.
