- Established in 1896, Te Mata Estate has maintained over 125 years of continuous wine production
- An independent, family-owned winery 15kms south of Napier in Hawke's Bay, all Te Mata Estate wines are produced exclusively on their own vineyards.
- Three original vineyards planted by Bernard Chambers in 1892 are still being used.

- Te Mata is part of the Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand (SWNZ) programme, which aims to minimise environmental impacts.
