Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"The grapes are grown in various vineyard sites located in and around Monleale with a southeastern-southwestern exposure. The soil is rich in limestone and clay. Fermentation lasts about 4 weeks and takes place partly in ceramic vessels, oak casks and stainless steel tanks. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation.
Clear, intense yellow colour with green hues. On the nose fruit scents of pear and peach and floral nuances of acacia and hawthorn. Typical honey notes. After 2-3 years, the mineral notes are more intense and sometimes emphasized by the typical scent of hydrocarbon which refines the wine. On the palate the wine is dry, warm, soft, and very well balanced, without any edges. It has a long lingering finish with good fresh acidity."
96/100 Aldo Fiordelli, James Suckling.com (2023 Vintage)
"A layered wine with assertive leesy aromas of lemon peel, lemon leaves, spring flowers, green apples and chalky minerality. Silky texture with zesty acidity, a medium body and a bright, savoury finish. Good extraction and an amazing white peach aftertaste. Drink or hold."
93/100 Antonio Galloni (2023 Vintage)
"The 2023 Timorasso is a blend from Vietti's holdings in three distinct zones within the Derthona appellation. Deep, rich and phenolic, the 2023 is a textured, resonant wine. Peach, apricot, chamomile and dried flowers fill out the layers. It's a rich, heady white for the dinner table. Floral and citrus overtones lift the finish."
