Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"This wine represents a very small portion of our overall production but has always been a strong focus for Prophet’s Rock. We farm our aromatic whites to the same high standard in the vineyard as our top Pinot Noir, and take time through all aspects of production to ensure that the wine we release is the best reflection of the site it can be.
The 2023 Riesling is ready to be enjoyed now but has all the markings of a wine that will reward patience in the cellar. The aromatics are anchored by a citrus profile of grapefruit, lemon curd and key lime which are complimented by inviting aromas of jasmine, ginger and nutmeg. On the palate the complex citrus line continues to be a driving force with honeycomb and brioche characteristics bringing texture and palate weight. The natural acidity gives the wine lovely length that showcase the Schist Soils of the Rocky Point Vineyard and the balanced ripening of the 2023 vintage."

95+/100 Erin Larkin, RobertParker.com, December 2024 (2022 Vintage)
"The 2022 Dry Riesling leads with white pineapple and Granny Smith apple, scratched lemon and mandarin oil, dried herbs and brine. It is rich and tropical on the nose and utterly alluring. In the mouth, the wine reveals its "not completely dry" reality—or so I think—which is fine, because the residual sugar (five grams?) sits so beautifully in the wine. Yellow-fruited, exotic and capacious, this wine is astoundingly good, no doubt driven by the experience winemaker Paul Pujol gained during his time as winemaker at Kuentz-Bas in Alsace. There are notes of lemon curd, fresh linen and beeswax."
94/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review (2019 Vintage)
"Rich, weighty dry riesling that appears to be modelled after the complex, textural wines of Alsace rather than the pure, pristine and vibrant wines of the Mosel. It shows lime, orange blossom, oyster-shell and ginger characters."
93/100 James Suckling (2019 Vintage)
"Attractive crushed stones, grapefruit and lemon peel with some light, lees-derived, pastry-like notes, too. The palate has impressively fresh and lively flavours with bright peaches and lemons holding long and smooth. Layered yet piercing textural style here. Drink now."
