Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"This fruit driven Riesling has lemon and lime aromas with a luscious finish. The palate is rich in both texture and concentration with good balance, acidity and fruit flavour.
The lemon and lime flavours mean the wine will compliment pan-fried white fish and the good levels of acidity would offset the oiliness of richer seafoods. The medium sweetness (27g RS) would make it perfect for a summer pudding, such as Eton mess. But it’s light enough to make a delicious summer aperitif."
5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Novemeber 2023 (2023 Vintage)
"Rich and fragrant, the inviting bouquet shows golden peach, mandarin, lime peel and subtle spice aromas, leading to a succulent palate that's filled with ripe fruit intensity combined with elegant sweetness and juicy acidity, finishing long and satisfying. Style: Medium. At its best: now to 2030."
4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper (2023 Vintage)
"Bargain-priced, the 2023 vintage is a distinctly medium style (27 grams/litre of residual sugar). Bright, light lemon/green, it is fragrant and full-bodied, with strong, ripe, citrusy, peachy, slightly honeyed flavours. A powerful style of Riesling (14 per cent alcohol by volume), it is a distinctive wine, well worth discovering."
92/100 Cameron Douglas MS, October 2023 (2023 Vintage)
"An off-dry expression of Riesling with core flavours of white peach and red apple, there’s a lees and spice quality, and rounded silky texture enhanced by warming alcohol and a backbone of acidity pulling together all the flavours and textures. As the wine opens out in glass and on the palate additional flavours of grapefruit peel and honeysuckle begin to emerge. Youthful, fresh, bright and well made. A wine well suited to richly gently spiced dishes, Pork belly and flavourful savoury pastas or similar. There’s no mistaking the mouthfeel and warming side of this example. Best drinking from 2023 through 2029."
