"Vineyard – Hidden Vineyard – southern end of Te Muna Valley, 95-110m above sea level. Vines were planted in 2001. Alluvial soils similar to Martinborough Terrace but heavier soil due to being closer to river. Currently 1896 vines.
What we really enjoy about our vineyard is that it is a much cooler climate site than town (10km away) and the way that this shows through in the fruit ripeness spectrum. We are picking late – often 4 weeks after similar clones of PN are picked around town.
Lovingly hand picked, 100% Pinot noir predominately Dijon clones we have planted – 777, 667, and 115. The grapes were whole bunch pressed and the juice was cool fermented in tank where it aged on lees for six months to give added texture and depth. Our Rose has a lovely salmon pink colour and alluring notes of watermelon, strawberry raspberry and red apples. It’s a serious Rose but not in the snobby way – it’s about getting beautifully ripe Pinot grapes to give us the texture that enable the wine to be dry, textural and fresh fruited."

It's made entirely from Pinot Noir, which often sports powerful fruity aromas, which are held in check here, thanks to the thoughtful viticulture and winemaking by Paul Mason who ensures that the low 1.5 grams of residual sugar actually tastes as dry as it sounds. Aligned with dried berry aromas and crisp lingering layers of lemon juice, yuzu zest and a medium body, this is a next level rosé with depth, length and delicious drinkability."

"A wine of texture and depth driven by a core of fresh red berries from plum then cherry and framed by tannins and acidity. Perhaps some whole bunch used. As the wine touches the palate the impact of chalky tannins and acidity offer drive and intensity then contrasts from red berry and cherry fruit flavours follow. Fresh and new, vibrant and with some tension. Delicious and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2027."
