Winery notes (2026 Vintage)
"The Home Block is where it all began back in 1980, and our quest to perfect Martinborough’s venerable style continues here today with some of the oldest Pinot Noir vines in New Zealand. Winemaker Tom Turner’s pursuit of perfection starts in the vineyard and can be found in every structured, balanced, nuanced glass of Martinborough Vineyard.
The fruit for this Sauvignon Blanc comes from our vineyards on the Martinborough Terrace and Ruakokoputuna. Yields from our Martinborough Terrace vineyards here are typically low, giving the wine intensity, richness and lower acidity which regulates crops ensuring consistently ripe, high-quality grapes are harvested.

Pale straw with a hint of green. Classic notes of citrus zest, ripe feijoa, and passionfruit are layered with white peach, blackcurrant blossom, and a fine saline minerality. A vibrant, expressive style that pairs beautifully with fresh seafood, soft white cheeses, leafy salads, fresh pasta, and spice-driven Asian fusion dishes."

Rated Excellent & 94/100 Cameron Douglas MS, October 2025 (2025 Vintage)
"Fantastic bouquet and palate with flavours of sweet grapefruit and red apple flash, white fleshed orchard fruits, a fine lees complexity and mineral drive. As the wine warms on the palate the flavours develop to include some tropical fruits and natural white spice highlights. Delicious, and refreshing, lengthy and tasty. Without or with food, a great aperitif with best drinking from 2026 through 2030+."
