It's quite a mouthful to say but this charming red from one of Southern France's greatest producers is well worth all those syllables. Coming from old vines in one of the hottest and driest regions in France, it finds the perfect balance between sweet fruit and savoury elements. It punches well above its weight.

"This wine, Bila-Haut by Michel Chapoutier, Cotes Du Roussillon Villages Rouge is one of those consistently good wines. It’s become one of those wines that when I need to pick up a bottle at a wine shop it’s an easy choice, because I know it will be good."
