FORREST THE DOCTORS’ RIESLING 2023

The Doctors Riesling from Forrest Estate in Marlborough continues to pick up fans at break-neck speed which is no doubt helped along by the Gold Medals, Trophies and Five Star Cuisine Ratings that this wine has gained over the years. Being downright delicious probably helps a little too! The mix of perfectly balanced sweetness, full flavour and low alcohol (9%) has made this wine one of New Zealand's top selling Rieslings.

"By thinking differently, we’ve perfected a delicious full flavoured wine by slowing the grape plant’s ability to make sugar but not its ability to make flavour. And it’s all done in the vineyard, no chemistry tricks or genetic engineering wizardry here. Just sustainably grown, naturally produced lower alcohol wine.

Nothing’s quite as fun as our Riesling. It’s like biting into a deliciously crisp Granny Smith apple while simultaneously licking lime sherbet and apricot. So easy to drink, with the perfect balance of fruit sweetness and fresh acidity at a modest 9% alcohol. A much better way to enjoy life."

"A delicious and enticing core of fruits with ripe pear and citrus, a smothering of green apple and white florals, fresh and new. An off-dry expression, but only just – the acid line and core fruit flavours offer contrast and vibrant mouthfeel. Plush and salivating with a light saline quality. Well made, balanced and delicious to drink. Best from 2023 through 2030. With just 9% abv too this wine has a vibrant and refreshing quality."
