FORREST THE DOCTORS’ RIESLING 2023

The Doctors Riesling from Forrest Estate in Marlborough continues to pick up fans at break-neck speed which is no doubt helped along by the Gold Medals, Trophies and Five Star Cuisine Ratings that this wine has gained over the years. Being downright delicious probably helps a little too! The mix of perfectly balanced sweetness, full flavour and low alcohol (9%) has made this wine one of New Zealand's top selling Rieslings.

"By thinking differently, we’ve perfected a delicious full flavoured wine by slowing the grape plant’s ability to make sugar but not its ability to make flavour. And it’s all done in the vineyard, no chemistry tricks or genetic engineering wizardry here. Just sustainably grown, naturally produced lower alcohol wine.

Nothing’s quite as fun as our Riesling. It’s like biting into a deliciously crisp Granny Smith apple while simultaneously licking lime sherbet and apricot. So easy to drink, with the perfect balance of fruit sweetness and fresh acidity at a modest 9% alcohol. A much better way to enjoy life."

"The bouquet suggests as much about the floral aromas as it does the core fruit scents of lemon and apple. Daises and roses, green and red apple then a citrus medley. Off- dry on the palate with a medium+ sweetness level, plenty of contrasting acidity and a silky mouthfeel deliver a wine of freshness and plushness. Balanced and well made with best drinking from 2025 through 2031+."
