Winery notes (2024 Vintage)
"Pale gold in colour, this Chardonnay shows bright citrus aromas and a flinty minerality, with subtle hints of French oak vanilla. The palate is refined and lively, reflecting the concentration of the 2024 vintage, with fresh lemon flavours, ripe nectarine, crisp acidity, and elegant structure. A long, intense fruity finish adds depth and persistence, delivering a wine that is both focused and graceful. Our classic Folding Hill style with gentle oak influence."
5 Stars & 94/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, March 2026 (2024 Vintage)
"Complex and enticing, the bouquet shows golden peach, mango, nougat, roasted hazelnut, and brioche characters, leading to a wonderfully weighted palate offering a creamy mouthfeel, backed by fine acidity, finishing persistent and satisfying. At its best: now to 2032."
Rated Excellent & 93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, April 2026 (2024 Vintage)
"A lovely example with core aromas and flavours of grapefruit and pineapple then white peach and apple. The cool climate origin of the fruit delivers a decent acid line and youthful energy with the cooler fruits profile of citrus and white orchard fruit ideas. Crisp and dry with persistent flavours, some leesy spice from winemaking yet little to no oak noted. Balanced, youthful, taut and dry with best drinking from 2027 through 2030+."

5 Stars & 94/100 Candice Chow, Wine Chat (2023 Vintage)
"This Bendigo Chardonnay shows delicate floral with balanced fruit, layering over a lightly creamy mouthfeel and silky phenolics, enticing acidity ripples through the palate and lends a savoury, mineral finish."
5 Stars Yvonne Lorkin, August 2025 (2023 Vintage)
"Wow! Central Otago Chardonnay is absolutely having its moment and I’m exultant about that. From the 2023 vintage the team at Folding Hill have crafted a fantastic example, a style roaring with baked stonefruit, creme brulee, soft caramelised characters a lick of white pepper and grapefruit pith. A style with elegantly fresh textures, a tweak of butterscotch, toasty oak, mineral complexity and a long, juicy, grilled peach finish."
