You‘ll Never Walk Alone is perhaps the most famous song in football, and is heard before kick-off at every Liverpool match at Anfield and has been adopted as the Football Club’s anthem. Claymore Wines is the official partner of Liverpool Football Club in Australia and have created their YNWA series of wines, inspired by Liverpool Football Club.
Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"Welcome back to the Claymore range our fan favourite YNWA GSM – for lovers of our Reds both on the pitch and in the bottle. This year's release is the product of a milder growing season and relatively cool vintage in 2023 and the spice elements are front and centre in this baby. Complemented by cherry and berry fruits plus a delicious rose petal floral character the 2023 GSM is a soft red blend that doesn't hold back on the flavour front.
Bright fresh red and dark cherry notes with light berries and spice. The Mataro is evident as subtle rose petal and fresh leather – it's a lifted bouquet that invites you in the experience more in the mouth. That spice really lifts on the palate – and it's not pepper but a food spice with a savoury edge that contrasts beautifully with the bright cherry / berry notes in the mouth. That appealing floral lift lingers with spice notes on the finish in this fruit driven, medium weight red blend. Gentle tannin and acid profile deliver a wine well suited to mid week pasta and pizza nights!"
5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, November 2025 (2023 Vintage)
"It's generously fruited and inviting on the nose, showing dark plum, cherry, thyme, and warm spice aromas, leading to a succulent palate that's fleshy and supple. Beautifully framed by silky tannins, offering excellent drinking. At its best: now to 2030."
93/100 Ken Gargett, WinePilot.com, October 2025 (2023 Vintage)
"A cracking version of this red blend, which is surely better value than a wager on Liverpool to win the EPL (fans of the wine will know the reference, one I may well live to regret). The blend is 48% Grenache, 44% Shiraz, and 8% Mataro. The vineyards are dry grown bush vines in excess of 80 years of age. The colour is a crimson/garnet with atractive aromatics which weave through notes of plums, redcurrants, raspberries, dried herbs, aniseed and coffee grinds. Seamless in structure, right through to the slightly grainy tannins on a persistent finish. There is good balance and concentration throughout and this is a wine for enjoying over the next decade."
92/100 Ray Jordan, WinePilot.com, November 2025 (2023 Vintage)
"Clare Valley producer consistently delivers. Medium-bodied with bright red fruits balanced by subtle earthy, dusty characters. Complexity from 80-year-old dry-grown bush vines. Effortless, easy, long, impressive value."
