Château de La Negly is situated on the prime chalky terroir of La Clape in the Languedoc, in sight of the Mediterrnean, whose cooling breezes moderate the maturation. Aromas of blackberry and cassis with hints of fruit skin on the palate.

"Château de la Négly may be the Languedoc-Roussillon's finest estate. The brilliant oenologist Claude Gros oversees the winemaking, and everything is done with incredible attention to detail, aiming for world class wines of great individuality and quality."

"Very peppery! But the spiciness is amply served by generously ripe black-cherry and blackcurrant fruit. The tannins are long, limber and luscious, tinged with black olive, wrapped languid around the glossy black fruit. The finish is peppermint fresh, spiced with caraway, long and carrying a cheeky note of amaretto. The (big) alcohol is well hidden. Château La Négly has somehow managed to carry it off."

"A blend of unknown proportions of Carignan, Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre and Syrah, the 2022 La Clape la Falaise displays a deeper, more complex and riper bouquet than La Côte, evoking aromas of flowers, iris, dark cherries, spices and chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, layered and round, it's deep and elegant, with a rich core of fruit, a slight warmth from the alcohol and a long, spicy finish. It was crafted from vines planted on clay, limestone soils facing northeast."
