"Picked with tropicality and acidity in mind, the balance works harmoniously. Barrel ferment, aged on lees for a further 10 months. Wine is completely clear and clean at this point. I then settle out the lees and amalgamate a portion to build complexity and texture to the palette. No skin contact. Bloody delicious. Salty af. Pineapple. Guava. Overripe Lemon/Lime. Brioche. Salivating acid. Texture."

"Still Life 2022 is made from Sauvignon Blanc, barrel fermented in old oak, and then sits on lees for ten months. Driven by a saline acidity, with flavours of orange peel, guava, dried pineapple and grapefruit. There is a veneer of ‘natural’ wine to this in its simplicity, but it is very focussed and tight. A great balance of interest and drinkability here. Hints of Chablis. The texture is silky and viscose."

Note, for orders of 1 - 2 bottles we charge an additional $6 for packaging. To ensure the safety of the bottles we use specially designed posting boxes.

Bryterlater wines are crafted with intent, honesty, and deep respect for the process. Using organically farmed grapes from North Canterbury, they employ minimal intervention practices in the winery to let the wines speak for themselves. Embracing the unique character of each season, they produce vibrant spring wines and complex, age-worthy styles. Their goal is to create thoughtfully made, juicy wines that capture vineyard energy and bring immense joy to those who experience them.
And as for the wines? Petina Petillant Naturel Pinot Noir is poised and precise, barrel-fermented and bottled on lees for body and flavour. It's clear and clean with notes of raspberry cheesecake, Aperol, yogurt, and sea mist. Swell Petillant Naturel Sauvignon Blanc returns with a similar process, yielding a salty, lemon-lime, yogurt, and fresh acidity profile. Still Life Sauvignon Blanc offers tropical and citrus flavors with brioche and texture. Svelte Riesling is dry and textural with citrus and juniper notes.
Pinot blends offer white peach, strawberry, and coconut aromas. Ernest Pinot Noir features cherry, clove, and soft tannins, while Frederick Pinot Noir has dark fruits and fine tannins. Yonda Red Field Blend and Brambles Rose and Orange blends are vibrant, fresh, and complex, perfect for daily enjoyment.
Excellent wine store! Probably the best in town. You can find wall kinds of wine and from around the world. I even found a wine from my hometown Uruguay which is not easy to find at all on this side of the globe.

I had been searching for a very specific wine and I finally found it here. Not only did they have the wine I was searching for, they had a beautiful collection of other wines. Possibly the best wine shop in New Zealand. I've been coming here for 11+ years. Excellent, interesting wines at a range of price points; friendly, personal and knowledgeable service. If the wall of Sauv Blanc, Pinot Gris, Shiraz and Pinot Noir at the supermarket doesn't do it for you, you need to sign up for Vino Fino's email. They work hard to get sharp prices on very good wines.

An amazing selection of wine from pretty much all over the planet! Price are decent too and for sure if you are good at spotting the right wine can get some amazing wines to a more than fair price! Parking is a bit of an issue but worst come to worst can park at the south city carpark and walk 100m!
