DOMAINE THOMSON ASPIRING BLANC DE NOIR 2025

Domaine Thomson was the vision of David Hall-Jones and his wife PM (short for Pui Mun) and encompasses the wine operations in the northern and southern hemispheres.

In 2000 they established a 14 ha vineyard at Lowburn, Central Otago. They also owned a property in Burgundy and in 2013 became the first New Zealanders to own a vineyard in Burgundy.

Today the original vision holds firm. PM and her family continue the path she and David began together — one vision, across two hemispheres — crafting wine that reflects the nuances of the terroir and the diversity of the vineyards.

"A beautifully balanced fresh and floral wine with a long mineral finish. Hand-picked fully ripened pinot noir grapes from our Terrace Block with minimal skin contact hence its very pale colour. Serve chilled and enjoy as an apéritif! This wine offers the crisp freshness of a white wine, paired with the rich undertones of Pinot Noir—a fascinating combination that has quickly gained popularity."

"Delightfully fragrant and enticing with a pure fruited and floral bouquet suggestion white rose and bing cherry, some strawberry and mineral qualities. Crisp and dry with fine fruit tannins and crunchy acid line then flavours of light red berries and rose apple skin. Super fine tannin mouthfeel with a delicate chalk dust quality then back to fruit. Balanced and well made with best drinking from day of purchase through 2029."
