Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"The heart and soul of the Barossa lives in our lovingly nurtured Estate Vineyard wines. Warm climate, ancient rich soils and full fruit flavours; this wine is testament to our commitment to excellence and craftsmanship.
Aromas of dark cherry & nougat, cinnamon & nutmeg. On the palate, blood plum and cherry fruit with bramble and toasted fennel seed undertones. A gentle acid line focuses the palate and ties together the layers of savoury fruit and spice. The length and persistence of this wine is testament to the power and elegance that Northern Barossa can offer.
A full-bodied red wine that shows both freshness and length. The layered, savoury flavours of this wine pair nicely with char grilled meats and vegetables, smoked ribs or a savoury beef-based stew. A mellow cheddar would also work well. This wine is drinking well now but could nicely age for four to eight years."

"This Barossa shiraz is balanced and neat but it also has a lovely plushness to it. It’s just the ticket if you’re looking for something to settle into, so to speak. It tastes of ripe plums, saltbush, cloves, red licorice and smoked marshmallow, and from start to finish it turns on the charm. "

"Raspberry bullets, Gala apple skin and crushed cardamom seed. Some cola and black pepper spice with cedar and tobacco richness coming through. This is held in suspense by nicely handled acidity, plush tannins and a velvety finish. Generous with fruit and oak support but with very good drinkability, making for a moreishness. Great value here. Drink now with Lamb sausages or a prune and lamb tagine."
