Rated Outstanding & 95/100 Cameron Douglas MS, March 2025 (2024 Vintage)
"Excellent aromatics with core scents of lime and sherbet, white apricot and wild flowers, there’s distinctive mineral quality adding complexity and enticement. While there is some residual sweetness you will hardly notice it for all the zesty vibrant flavours and mouthfeel. Ripe and citrusy with lime and lime-blossom, white apricot and a mineralised river stone quality. Lengthy and well, delicious, fresh and new. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2034."
94/100 Decanter UK (2024 Vintage)
"Bright green apple, orchard blossom and white floral aromatics. Juicy, potent palate with a delicate lime and steely mineral freshness."
93/100 Susie Barrie MW & Peter Richards MW (UK), Susie & Peter New Zealand Wines of the Year 2026 (2024 Vintage)
"In the same way that the Glover family’s Zephyr feels like a brand for modern times, so this Riesling with its bright lime-cordial aromas, lowish alcohol and subtly off-dry nature (12 g/l) is well suited to modern tastes and lifestyles. Made from the Brawn single vineyard in Marlborough’s highly regarded Dillons Point sub-region, this is an easy-going, uncomplicated and zesty take on the variety. The Opaoa River, which runs to the south of the family vineyard, is apparently home to scores of whitebait, a local delicacy that the Glovers say is perfect with a glass of their Zephyr Riesling. Sounds idyllic."
Matthew Jukes, NZ London Tasting (2024 Vintage)
"Soaked in green apple skin bitterness and raucous gooseberry flesh tension, this is a wickedly impressive wine, seemingly designed for spicy Asian banquets, fresh-shucked oysters, butterfly clams in garlic and parsley and any other dish where you might ordinarily open a Manzanilla! But wait a couple of years, and you could be mistaken for thinking this wine came from Austria! An incredible shapeshifter, this is a marvellously competent and excitingly restless wine."
