Winery Notes (2024 Vintage)
"This fruit-driven Pinot Gris from Marlborough’s Awatere Valley displays aromas of crisp pear, juicy ripe citrus and ginger notes. On the palate this wine displays fresh quince, apple, and subtle hints of sweet baking spice. Full-bodied yet bright on the palate, this this is a fresh and richly textured wine with a long and lingering finish.
This wine is grown in three very distinct vineyards located in the cool southern Awatere Valley region of Marlborough; one located on the windy, exposed coastal planes, with the other two located further inland on young fertile river terraces."
5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, July 2024 (2024 Vintage)
"Beautifully ripe and inviting, the bouquet shows ripe peach, Asian pear, lemon peel and white floral aromas, followed by a succulent palate offering silky texture and bright acidity. Splendidly balanced and lingering with a refreshing finish. At its best: now to 2027."
4 Stars & Best Buy Cuisine Pinot Gris Tasting, February 2025 (2024 Vintage)
"Green melon sits alongside fresh citrus aromas and a hint of greens on the nose. A wine with a sense of purity with pear skin and lychee flavours that are carried through the wine thanks to the bright acid present."

Number 2, WineFolio.co.nz Top 10 Pinot Gris Tasting, April 2024 (2023 Vintage)
"A wine from the Awatere Valley in Marlborough. When one of the judging notes contains “Yum” as the first word, you know it’s going to feature in the Top 10. Judges at the last NZIWS considered this to be a Gold Medal wine – and we agreed. Undeniably juicy and ripe, but with that note of ‘good, green bitters’ and phenolics that we like (and gets the Boss in trouble at judging) to balance the palate. Generous (with good weight) and plush, but spicy and dry. A long, satisfying finish. “Terrific” was another note."
