Gold Medal – New Zealand International Wine Show 2026
Winery notes (2024 Vintage)
"A symphony of aromas on the nose, dark spice and liquorice give way to floral aromas of lavender and violets with dried thyme and rosemary, dark cherries and chocolate all adding complexity. The palate is silky with layers of sustained flavours that echo the complexity of the aromas. Fine, seamless tannins balance the gentle acidity and give depth and length on the finish. A Syrah to enjoy for its balance, individuality and distinction."
5 Stars & 98/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, February 2026 (2024 Vintage)
"Pristine and perfumed, the bouquet reveals Black Doris plum, blueberry, rich floral, warm spice, and roasted hazelnut aromas with a hint of cracked pepper. It's richly expressed on the palate, filled with succulent fruit intensity and fleshy texture, framed by beautifully melded tannins, finishing persistent and velvety. This is beautifully proportioned with harmony and structure, purity and complexity, making it captivating and immensely appealing. At its best: 2028 to 2040."
