Rippon Lolo's Block Riesling was made to honour Lois Mills and her contribution to Rippon – and what a fitting tribute it is.
Fruit for the Riesling was pristine. After sorting it was gently crushed by foot, pressed, and settled overnight, retaining the fine lees. The fermentation began with wild yeasts and was completed after 24 days, with regular lees stirring.
The final wine is a symphony of aroma and flavour, perfectly reflecting the cool vineyard conditions and the considered winemaking. Ebullient notes of blossom, peach, citrus and zest are matched by superb acidity and an almost unctuous mouthfeel. This is a wine to savour and enjoy slowly, now or in the future.

96/100 Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front, June 2024 (2019 Vintage)
"This is the full biscuit. Seriously, regardless of price, get yourself a bottle of this, and drink it. It’s heady, it’s stately, it has remarkable spread and it generally feels a class above. It tastes of honey, lime, river stones and stonefruit, essentially, though bacon and earth, blackcurrant bud and mandarin characters flash like phosphorescence throughout. It’s at a beautiful stage of its development, perfect by my way of thinking, in that it inhabits the joy of youth and the glory of age, simultaneously. This is the kind of wine we think of when we think of a wine we might love. Quod erat demonstrandum: lovers of wine will love this wine."
