This wine is from our BioGro certified organic and Demeter certified biodynamic estate vineyard located in the Bendigo sub-region of Central Otago. The vineyard was planted in 1998 after careful site selection. The soils on the beautiful north facing slope are Waenga fine sandy loam and Letts steepland soil with an elevation of 217 – 264 metres, on 44.55° south."

"Certified organic, the 2023 vintage is from Pinot Noir grapes, estate-grown and hand-picked at Bendigo, in Central Otago. Bright, light pink, it is mouthfilling, with vibrant, delicate, watermelon and peach flavours, finely balanced acidity and a fresh, dry (1.5 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish. Still very youthful, it should be at its best mid-2024+."

Quartz Reef Wines, located in Central Otago’s Bendigo sub-region, is renowned for crafting exceptional wines that truly express their sense of place. Specialising in Méthode Traditionnelle, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay, alongside Pinot Gris and Grüner Veltliner, all wines are certified NZ Biogro organic and Demeter biodynamic, ensuring a holistic and sustainable approach to winemaking.
The unique Bendigo Estate Vineyard spans 15 hectares of north-facing slopes, where arid clay, fine gravel, and quartz soils imbue the grapes with a distinctive character. Adjacent to this is the Loop Rd vineyard, home to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines used for Méthode Traditionnelle sparkling wines, as well as Pinot Gris for still wines.

This dedication to sustainability and craftsmanship is reflected in every bottle, capturing the purity and complexity of Central Otago’s terroir. Excellent wine store! Probably the best in town. You can find wall kinds of wine and from around the world. I even found a wine from my hometown Uruguay which is not easy to find at all on this side of the globe.

Possibly the best wine shop in New Zealand. I've been coming here for 11+ years. Excellent, interesting wines at a range of price points; friendly, personal and knowledgeable service. If the wall of Sauv Blanc, Pinot Gris, Shiraz and Pinot Noir at the supermarket doesn't do it for you, you need to sign up for Vino Fino's email. They work hard to get sharp prices on very good wines.

An amazing selection of wine from pretty much all over the planet! Price are decent too and for sure if you are good at spotting the right wine can get some amazing wines to a more than fair price! Parking is a bit of an issue but worst come to worst can park at the south city carpark and walk 100m!
