Winery notes (2024 Vintage)
"Delicate, fresh and fragrant, with notes of fresh lime, Granny Smith apple and mandarin, dancing with white floral notes of jasmine and carnations. Off dry and lip-smackingly tart on the entry, the clarity of ripe citrus fruit is breathtaking. Flooded with acid, fruit and minerality, the wine has a pleasingly astringent finish that goes on for days, waking up your taste buds as the perfect aperitif.
The grapes are gently pressed and cold settled over night then racked to stainless tank for fermentation with cultured yeast. The fermentation was stopped with 5.2g/L of residual sugar to balance out the natural acidity. The wine is aged for a further 2 months on lees gaining complexity before bottling. Vegan friendly."

"Offering outstanding fruit purity and vibrancy, the wine shows crunchy apple, lemon curd, white floral and kaffir lime nuances on the nose. The palate delivers awesome focus and drive, splendidly supported by refined texture and beautifully infused acidity, finishing impressively long and engaging. Style: Dry. At its best: 2026 to 2036."

"Aromatic, varietal, youthful and lifted bouquet lead by scents of white blossoms and lemon then fresh apple and white apricot. A distinctive seam of wet river stone minerality adds complexity, charm and enticement. A dry wine touches the palate with a raging taut acid line tempered by ripe fruit flavours at the core. Flavours of citrus and apple dominate the palate, there’s a lovely saline quality adding length and complexity. A lovely wine that simply needs time to settle and develop. Best from 2028 through 2040."

"Vibrant aromas of lemon curd, sweet lime blossom, and yellow grapefruit burst from the glass, underpinned by steely wire wool and wet stone minerality. Off-dry yet tasting crisp and dry, the palate is lifted by racy lime acidity, balancing the fruit weight and texture. Granny Smith apple and floral notes linger beautifully, while ripe lemon acidity and a slate-like mineral crunch define the finish. Intricately balanced, this wine is light, bright, and deliciously precise."

"Palliser Estate Riesling from Martinborough has a long history of superb ageing, as well as tasting fresh as a daisy when it is young and vibrant, as this new release shows. Dry, light-bodied and complex (RS 5.2 grams per litre), it has layers of aromatic lime, green apple and white pear. Cool fermentation preserves its citrus aromas and vibrancy. It will reward ageing for up to 10 years."
