The Amarone from Musella winery is a powerful and structured red wine produced from espalier grown vines in the on the rolling hills of Valpolicella, in the north-east of Verona. The winery, which has been following the biodynamic philosophy for years, is trying to make the most of the territorial potential by seeking purity in taste and also making courageous choices by deciding not to always go along with the fashions dictated by the market. This Amarone is produced with Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta grapes, coming from three different vineyards: the Perlar and the Palazzina, whose soils are calcareous with a prevalence of ferrous red clay and the Monte del Drago which stands out for having a soil more of a medium clayey and tuffaceous mixture.
Winery notes (2017 Vintage)
"The Amarone from the Musella winery is a full-bodied and intense expression of the Valpolicella Region: a rich and complex wine aged in medium and large barrels. An aromatic range of black cherries, ripe red fruit and sweet spices integrates with balance in an elegant and structured sip."
