Here's another great buy from Mt Riley, who seem to specialise in offering outstanding value wines. A bonnie wee rosé, juicy watermelon and cherry flavours abound.
Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"Our 2023 Rosé was made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris grapes. The Pinot Noir provides red fruit flavour and structure whilst the Pinot Gris adds floral aromatic lift and palate weight. The wine was fermented at cool temperatures to encourage and preserve its bright, lifted aromatics."
5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, June 2023 (2023 Vintage)
"Pristine and delicately aromatic, the inviting bouquet shows watermelon, lemon zest, crunchy apple and floral nuances. The palate is equally charming with bright fruit flavours combined with fleshy texture and juicy acidity, offering terrific drinking. At its best: now to 2025."
91/100 Cameron Douglas MS, October 2023 (2023 Vintage)
"An attractive bouquet of fresh red cherry and apple with a light red rose quality and cranberry. Youthful, fresh and vibrant. Crisp and just dry on the palate with a core of cherry and cranberry flavours, a touch of tart strawberry and red apple skin quality. Balanced and well made with a refreshing gentle saline quality and even finish. best drinking from 2023 through end of summer 2025."

5 Stars, Number 2 & Best Buy, Cuisine Rose Tasting, December 2022 (2022 Vintage)
"Pale pink with a touch of copper on the rim. The nose is subtle and restrained with lovely aromas and flavours of red fruits and berries with a hint of creaming soda sweetness peeking through. Expressive and fresh through the palate with a long dry finish.""
