Family owned and operated, Mount Riley produces wines of outstanding quality and value, one of those producers that epitomises Marlborough's proud earth-to-glass spirit to bring forth a purity and strength of character and flavour that represents the land's energy with every vintage.

Adjoining the winery - surrounded by Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay - is Mount Riley's cellar door, which boasts a collection of wine-inspired photos by renowned Kiwi photography Marti Friedlander.

Guests are encouraged to make use of picnic tables, petanque area, and outdoor fire place. Founded by John Buchanan, collaborating with daughter Amy and son-in-law Matt, John emphasises Mount Riley's independent spirit that hinges on a dependence on the strength and talent of his family, a family that encompasses their hand-picked viticulturalists, distributors, and loyal wine enthusiasts from all around the globe.

Excellent wine store! Probably the best in town. You can find wall kinds of wine and from around the world. I even found a wine from my hometown Uruguay which is not easy to find at all on this side of the globe.
