Gold Medal & 95/100 – New World Wine Awards 2019
Here's another great buy from Mt Riley, who seem to specialise in offering outstanding value wines. A bonnie wee rosé, juicy watermelon and cherry flavours abound.
Winery notes (2019 Vintage)
"Our Pinot Rosé was made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris grapes. Bright and fresh with aromatics of strawberry, redcurrant and candied cherry with hints of floral and vanilla. Dry in style with delicate red fruit and refreshing acidity. The sweet fruit is well balanced by a touch of tannin providing texture and length."

5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, October 2018 (2018 Vintage)
"It is instantly appealing on the nose showing rockmelon, watermelon, raspberry and ripe stone fruit characters with a delightful lift of white floral. The palate delivers pristine fruit flavours and lively mouthfeel, brilliantly supported by refreshing acidity. It is bright, light and highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2020."
Sue Courtney, wineoftheweek.com, August 2018 (2018 Vintage)
"Like a spinel gemstone in hue, this blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris is fragrant and fruity with a bright spritzy texture and just off dry flavours reminiscent of early season plums and cherries with lingering flavours of tarragon and watermelon. Juicy and refreshing and verging on irresistible even on a cold winters night."
4 Stars & 90/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review, October 2018 (2018 Vintage)
"Crisp, fresh and flavoursome rosé with cherry, watermelon and subtle strawberry flavours. Silken-textured wine with a hint of sweetness, although the wine has a drying finish. A charming rosé offering value at this price."
