""Du Champ" in French translates "of the field." Skin fermented field blend of 60% Pinot Gris + 40% Viognier. Raupo Vineyard, Marlborough. Certified organic/biodynamic fruit.

Hand harvested. Fruit was 100% destemmed into open top stainless steel fermenter where it underwent wild fermentation using a pied du cuve (vineyard ferment starter). 28 days on skins before being pressed to neutral oak barrels. 7 months in barrel before being transferred to tank to blend & settle for 2 months. Bottled unfined & unfiltered with a small SO2 addition."

"A delicious wine with texture led palate, flavours of mandarin and orange, fine tannins and a chalky textured acid line. Salty and mineral, flavours of quince and orange peel fruits, exotic tea and a crumbled stone/dusty soil quality. Plenty of lees action and length. Intriguing and new, delicious and definitely worth your time. Best from day of purchase through 2029+."
