If you like big, voluptuous Chardonnays the Arsonist is for you. There is enough sumptuous fruit and toasty oak to satisfy the classic-California Chard lover.
Winery Notes (2021 Vintage)
"The Arsonist wines showcase what we do best in the Dunnigan Hills. Both wines are sourced from our best vineyard sites and vinified in our finest barrels. We treat every small lot as a unique wine, nurturing its special qualities. At the final selection, the best barrels from the best lots come together to make truly exceptional wines.
Classically rich and luscious with dense flavours of butterscotch, Crème brûlée, honey and pineapple. An underlayer of toasty oak and caramel from barrel aging adds complexity. Tropical flavours, so characteristic of the Dunnigan Hills appellation, add a fresh balance. The creamy texture and bright, crisp fruit linger in the finish."
5 Stars & 95/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, November 2024 (2021 Vintage)
"It's gorgeously styled and expressed, showing summer peach, mango, vanillin oak and brioche characters on the nose. The palate displays excellent concentration and depth, wonderfully framed by plush texture and beautifully infused acidity, finishing impressively long and satisfying. At its best: now to 2029. "
Rated Excellent & 93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, December 2021 (2018 Vintage)
"A very engaging bouquet of roasted stone fruits, whipped cream, nut and pomaceous fruits. There’s a distinctive wood scents of smoke and spice, vanilla and nutmeg. Full-bodied with satin-cream texture, richness and persistent flavours of stone fruits, apple and spices that reflect the bouquet. Delicious, fresh and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2029."
91/100 Tonya Pitts, Wine Enthusiast, April 2024 (2021 Vintage)
"This wine bursts with baked apple pie, dried apricot and baked pastry crust, woven together with caramel, cardamom, cinnamon, white nectarine, white flowers, white tea, Meyer lemon zest and crème fraîche. Acidity intertwines throughout; the finish is bone dry."
