When it comes to Riesling, few do it better than Pegasus Bay. Internationally acclaimed and masters of this expressive variety, their expertise shines through, even in their entry-level range.
Main Divide Riesling is a long-time favourite of ours, and it’s not hard to see why. This release is bursting with flavour, beautifully balanced, and effortlessly drinkable, it’s the kind of wine you’ll reach for again and again. We call it a comfort wine, reliable, charming, and always satisfying.
Like the rest of the Main Divide range, this bottle seriously overdelivers on quality, flavour, and value.
Winery notes (2024 Vintage)
"On release it has a pale gold hue. Fragrant and perfumed, the nose offers a rich tapestry of orange blossom and jasmine, interwoven with hints of lime peel, spiced apple, white fleshed pleach and a lick of honey. The palate has a delicious engagement, with a spritzy mouthfeel, attractive sweetness and beautifully infused acidity. These elements unite, adding structure and length, on the long, citrus laden finish."
5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, July 2025 (2024 Vintage)
"Richly ripe and fragrant, the bouquet presents notes of orange peel, grilled peach, lemon curd, and floral aromas, followed by a succulent palate that offers generous texture and appealing sweetness. It's splendidly structured by juicy acidity, making it refreshing and fabulously drinkable. Style: Medium. At its best: now to 2030."
Rated Excellent & 93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, August 2025 (2024 Vintage)
"A delightful, tasty and luscious wine with flavours of orange blossom, mandarin and lime-flower, honeysuckle and apple. There’s a tickle of sweetness as the wine touches the palate, as well as a tickle of spritz form SO2 application to retain freshness for longer – this adds mouthfeel and liveliness across the palate. The acid line and core fruit flavours work in harmony to present a wine that are flavoursome and lengthy. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2031+."
5 Stars & 18.5/20 (93) Candice Chow, August 2025 (2024 Vintage)
"Bright, even, pale yellow. The nose is gently full, with aromas of green apple, mandarin, honey, lime leaf, blossom and minerals. Medium-bodied, medium-dry to taste, aromas of golden apple, quince and mandarin, melded with honey, blossom and stony minerals. The fruit is rich with a complex array of flavours; a spritzy mouthfeel elevates alongside integrated acidity, lending a lengthy, dry finish. Well-made and packed with interest. Match with smoked eel and lemon chicken over the next 5+ years. Multiple picks, with a portion of noble botrytis. Free-run juice fermented cool to 12% alc, 24 g/l RS."
