A delicious Sangiovese from a legendary producer whose bottlings are rarely available outside Italy. This tiny vineyard has a revered history of supplying the famous Bondi Santi Riservas, and is still producing 100 point-scoring Brunellos released locally under the modest-priced label of Le Chiuse. This Rosso selection is an even more accessible glimpse of that history, offering a brightly fruited, drink-now expression of this inimitable estate.

"Tasted as a preview and set to be bottled very soon, the 2024 Rosso Di Montalcino pours a bright ruby hue and is fruity and primary on the nose, with fresh red berries, cherries, and lovely purity of fruit. Selected from larger clusters from the sunset side of the vines, it naturally carries a gentler tannin density, and the palate is juicy and bright, with refreshing acidity, tangerine-tinged lift, and a mouthwatering finish. It’s already highly appealing and should drink well with a short rest in bottle. Drink 2026-2032."
