A wine of high quality, made from one single harvest. A Colheita wine matures in oak barrels for periods of time that can vary, but never less than 7 years. It is then bottled and sold according to the demands of the market.

"Every wine tells a story. Kopke's Colheitas, however, tell a unique story. To taste a wine is to taste history and, in the case of this 2002 Colheita, it means remembering a remarkable event like the entering in circulation of physical euro coins and banknotes in 12 of the EU members, replacing their national currencies.
Intense brown colour with reddish hues. Exuberant nose, with aromas of red fruit intertwined with notes of wood and subtle hints of spice. In the mouth, it is rich and balanced, with rou nd tannins combined with the silkiness of fruit, giving the wine the unique trait of a Kopke Colheita. A long and delicate finish."
