The palate offers a juicy entry with raspberry fruit and red liquorice, creating a long, inviting structure that captivates from the first sip.

"A lovely bouquet and palate, complex and textured, red berry fruits and red apple skin flavours, roses and wild flowers, lees spice and mineral undertones. A lighter weighted touch on the palate with a complex core of flavours that mirror the bouquet. An abundance of fine tannins with a delicate chalky quality, plenty of acidity and a strawberry fruits and flowers finish. A delicious example, ready to drink from 2025 through 2030+."

"Light ruby. Crunchy, herbal whole-bunch aromas of crushed strawberry with earthy, forest floor tones underpinning wisps of floral and raspberry with brooding nutmeg spice. The raspberry and cranberry flavours are pure and long, picking up perfumed Szechuan peppercorn spice as it flows effortlessly across the palate, accompanying the savoury herb flavours of marjoram and oregano before melding into the chalky tannin structure. Although the palate is light-bodied with crisp, clear acidity, it is not fruit-driven nor simple and the unfolding length of the finish indicates that it will reward mid-term cellaring."

"Pale-coloured Pinot, quite delicate in aroma, but gutsy, too, beneath it all: hints of game, some sweet dampness, like walking through wetlands, some apple and blackcurrant tang. Very much an unforced, un-tinkered style. Very good if you like this kind of thing (which I do)."
