"Bright, even, pale yellow. The nose is elegantly presented with aromas of lime, zest, apple, jasmine and pollen. Medium-full bodied, aromas of lime and lemon melded with apple, lime zest, jasmine and pollen. Off-dry to taste, flavours packed on the palate with balanced sweet and sour. Zingy acidity persists in a long, textural finish. This Riesling is well-balanced and flavoursome, with layers of fruit, floral and a textural mouthfeel. Match with pork chops and Prawn pad Thai over the next 6+ years. Handpicked, whole bunch pressed, fermented long and cool with 5-10% botrytis bunches, 12% alc. Blended and bottled after 4 months on yeast lees, unfined. Organic certified."

Greystone Wines is a family-owned vineyard located in the Waipara wine region in Canterbury, New Zealand. Since its establishment, the vineyard has quickly gained a reputation for producing some of the finest wines in the region, particularly their award-winning Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The vineyard is situated on the slopes of the Teviotdale Hills, which provide an ideal microclimate for growing grapes. The soils are rich in limestone, which gives the wines a unique mineral character. Greystone Wines is committed to sustainable viticulture practices, and they use a range of organic and biodynamic methods to manage their vineyards. They also have a strong focus on low-intervention winemaking, which allows the grapes to express their natural terroir.
The winery produces a range of wines, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Pinot Gris. As mentioned, all of the wines are made using traditional methods, with a focus on minimal intervention and maximum expression of the vineyard's unique terroir.
One of the standout wines from Greystone Wines is their Pinot Noir. Past recognition includes being judged Best International Pinot Noir by Decanter Magazine, with its complex nose of dark fruit, spice, and earthy undertones and a palate that is rich and full-bodied. The Chardonnay is another standout, with a beautiful balance of fruit and acidity, and a long, elegant finish.
Visitors to the vineyard can enjoy tastings and tours, and there is also a restaurant on site that serves locally sourced, seasonal food. Excellent wine store! Probably the best in town. You can find wall kinds of wine and from around the world. I even found a wine from my hometown Uruguay which is not easy to find at all on this side of the globe.

I had been searching for a very specific wine and I finally found it here. Not only did they have the wine I was searching for, they had a beautiful collection of other wines. Possibly the best wine shop in New Zealand. I've been coming here for 11+ years. Excellent, interesting wines at a range of price points; friendly, personal and knowledgeable service. If the wall of Sauv Blanc, Pinot Gris, Shiraz and Pinot Noir at the supermarket doesn't do it for you, you need to sign up for Vino Fino's email. They work hard to get sharp prices on very good wines.

An amazing selection of wine from pretty much all over the planet! Price are decent too and for sure if you are good at spotting the right wine can get some amazing wines to a more than fair price! Parking is a bit of an issue but worst come to worst can park at the south city carpark and walk 100m!
