Gold Medal Marlborough Wine Show 2025
Winery notes (2025 Vintage)
"Always aiming for the classical off-dry style of the Loire, this wine is defined by flavours of pear, quince, jasmine, Greengage plum and ginger, balanced by a deliciously zesty acidity on the palate and a rich mineral yet creamy texture. It is a true French expression of the great Chameleon of grapes, Chenin Blanc, but it’s made right here in NZ for your drinking pleasure. Perfect Food Match: A seaside picnic of Fish ‘n’ Chips.
The grapes were machine harvested in the cool of the night, cold settled before being racked into our oak cuvées for fermentation (1000L barrels imported from Germany) to add some complexity and accentuate that wet lanolin character of great Chenin."
Rated Excellent & 93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, March 2026 (2025 Vintage)
"A delicious wine with core flavours of fresh and baked apples, a mineral gentle saline quality and layers of lees and some fruit qualities. Dry, taut, youthful and with a juicy palate squeeze effect. Persistent, fresh and ready to drink with core flavours of apples and pears, some citrus and vibrant youthful qualities and complexity. A great alternative to Riesling, Gris and Sauvignon Blanc with best drinking from day of purchase through 2033+."
