A light bodied Schiava from the northern reaches of Italy in the Alto Adige region (aka Dolomites). A breezy 13% alc. delivers a wine bright in red fruits and delicately herbal to keep things interesting.
Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"There is one thing we want to do with our wines more than anything else and that is to inspire. We do this by working out the characteristics of each grape variety we cultivate right down to the smallest detail and by emphasising the typicity of their area of origin. With our extensive winegrowing expertise and passion, we cultivate ten typical Alto Adige grape varieties on terraces at challenging altitudes of up to 860 metres above sea level and select only the best hand-picked grapes for the production of our quality wines. The result is well-balanced, fresh mountain wines with a captivating aroma and elegance. Within three quality lines we produce characterful whites, typical varietal reds as well as a sweet dessert wine.
Bright ruby red colour. Incredibly fruity bouquet, with a delicate almond aroma; round, lively and fresh on the palate, with excellent drinkability. Hilly vineyards with south to east exposure and altitude between 230 and 350 m above sea level. Soil with a good percentage of sand, pebbles and silt. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks; partial ageing in cement and large oak casks."
