Winery notes (2024 Vintage)
"Three Rows is a stylistic counterpoint to our Reserve Chardonnay. Here we aim to showcase power & intensity with minerality, length & focus. Barrel fermented and aged on lees for 10 months, clean stone, struck match and flint like characters, a grapefruit finish from the natural acidity synonymous with our Te Awanga vineyards."

5 Stars Michael Cooper (2019 Vintage)
"From ‘3 rows on the Clearview Estate Main Block’ at Te Awanga, the tight, elegant 2019 vintage was barrel-fermented and lees-aged for 10 months. Light lemon/green, it is mouthfilling and vigorous, with intense, citrusy, peachy flavours, savoury notes adding complexity and a fragrant, slightly smoky bouquet. A classy young wine, it’s well worth cellaring to 2023+."
Rated Excellent & 93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, May 2020 (2019 Vintage)
"Flint, gun-smoke, peach, red apple and grapefruit aromas lined with sweet oak and vanilla. On the palate – full-bodied, dry and fruity with youthfully fleshy textures. Flavours of peaches and lemon, vanilla and dry stones, blonde tobacco and leesy toastiness. Medium+ acidity with fine wood tannins, lengthy finish and very satisfying mouth feel. Best drinking from late 2021 through 2025+."
