Gold Medal – New Zealand International Wine Show 2023
Winery notes (2021 Vintage)
"Exceptionally proud of this band new vintage release – awarded GOLD while still in its infancy at the New Zealand International Wine Show. It's a dark, brooding reserve style – possessing great fruit purity, powerful elegance and structure. Definitely one to consider for the cellar; we suggest 8-10 years if you can keep your hands off it!"
95/100 Ray Jordan, WinePilot.com, April 2024 (2021 Vintage)
"This is a very classy Shiraz that comes from a single site in the Clare Valley. The nose is immediately engaging, a mix of spices and dark chocolate with a savoury overtone that works with other red berry fruits. The medium bodied palate has tremendous concentration and intensity of fruit, but it delivers with such a gentle touch. There’s a dry, savoury and slightly ironstone influence on the finish. Most attractive wine."
5 Stars & 95/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, November 2023 (2021 Vintage)
"Gracefully opulent and refined at the same time, showing dark fruit richness, cedary oak, vanilla and warm spice aromas on the nose, followed by a wonderfully weighted palate offering plump mouthfeel backed by loads of silky tannins. Sumptuous and mouthfilling with a sustained, delicious finish. At its best: now to 2038."
