Chateau Garage is the exciting small batch project of Ollie Powrie – former Head Viticulturist for Villa Maria and well known character on the Hawke's Bay wine scene.

"The latest vintage from Ollie Powrie’s garage in Hawke’s Bay, again using fruit from the Lyon’s Vineyard. Golden-green in the glass, with more volume of the nose than previous vintages. Led by citrus and stonefruit, with a dusting of baking spice, vanilla and toasted breadcrumb. The oak is more upfront in this vintage – a bolder weight and roundness, but it suits the wine, and the fruit deals with it. Acidity is bright and precise, giving length through the palate. It is quite sleek and polished, which is admirable given the less-than-ideal vintage conditions. Good length to the dry, spicy finish."
