"Closeburn is our non-oaked Chardonnay. The fruit is grown throughout the Central Otago region and exhibits the region’s natural elegant fruit flavours and mineral complexity. The wine is fermented in tanks to retain its bright fruit. It is then left to rest on its yeast lees to gain some doughy complexity and softness. This is a refreshing full-bodied wine, unencumbered by oak and superb with food.

Pineapple, ripe lemons, white flowers and hint of dried herbs make up an alluring aroma. Textured and powerful – apple and white nectarine flavours with good weight and mouthfeel, with pleasant, salted lemon notes on a lingering finish."

"A lovely sense of place with pure fruited bouquet revealing scents of stone and white peach, lees complexities and fresh apple, white blossoms and a natural fruit spice quality. A dry wine on the palate with flavours of citrus and pomaceous fruits, a leesy texture and complexity with a fine lengthy finish. Delicious, fresh and dry. Best drinking from 2025 through 2030."
