Winery notes (2020 Vintage)
"Redcurrants, cranberries, dried herbs and sweet spices on the nose. Some cedar, too. It’s medium-bodied with lively acidity. Fruity and crunchy with vibrant character, tension and balance. Succulent finish. This is an unfined pure expression of our vineyard’s best Pinot Noir vines. Blended together to create a distinctive, complete and satisfying wine."
5 Stars 19.0/20 (95) Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, October 2023 (2020 Vintage)
"Moderately deep ruby with a purple hue, lighter on edge. The nose is rich and mesmerising with aromas of earth, savoury herbs, black plum, dark cherry and subtle spices. Medium-bodied, black plum and cherry aromas entwined with rich floral, thyme, liquorice, nutmeg, black pepper and earthy minerals. The mouthfeel is silky with fine-grained supple tannins, unveiling spices and herbs overlying a long length and depth of sweet fruit. Lacy acidity carries liquorice and orange bitters to a sustained, elegant finish. This broody Pinot Noir shows depth and length of fruit and herbs with elegance and savoury, earthy details. Match with tea-smoked duck and mushroom stew over the next 5-7 years. 14% alc."
